Encountering Jesus: A Life Changing Experience
Have you experienced a life-changing experience that left you with a feeling of awe and wonder? I have. It happened on a beautiful summer morning as I was about to begin my prayer time.
Suddenly, a radiant Jesus instantly appeared in my room, smiling at me with eyes sparkling with love. His appearance is breathtaking – he’s wearing a long ivory-colored and iridescent robe with a royal-blue silk sash around his waist. His shoulder-length wavy brown hair, golden highlights like a lion’s mane, and pristine leather sandals cover his feet.
Overwhelmed by His Presence
Naturally, my heart skips a beat at the sight of Him, blushing as I greet Him. “Good morning, Jesus. What a magnificent surprise!” I say.
Jesus responded, “I have a matter I’m eager to discuss with you.”
The sweet fragrance of ‘lilies of the valley’ fills the air. It’s one of my favorite floral scents on earth, and Jesus knows that. He shares a different aspect of Himself and its heavenly fragrance whenever He visits me. It’s never the same, and I’m always delighted by it.
We settle into our respective chairs, and Jesus makes Himself comfortable. I can’t take my eyes off His magnificence – He’s intoxicating. And that smile of His? It tells me that He’s up to something delightful.
Conversation I Didn’t Expect
So I asked Him, “I can see your visit has a specific intention by your smile. What is on your heart today, my King and lover of My soul?”
Jesus smiled and replied, “I told My cherished friends about you, My Bride, how I called you to preach as one of My prophetic voices in these last days. I also told them you are synchronized with Heaven. This connection causes the words you preach to be like fire, having great sway on your listeners. Also, the books you wrote each contain a Spirit of Revelation, activating the reader to become whole. Because of this, an Angel has been assigned to accompany each book.
“Then My friends asked to assist you. I believe their wise words will encourage you to fulfill your destiny, just as Moses and Elijah encouraged Me on the Mount of Transfiguration.” Jesus paused momentarily and appeared in deep thought before saying, “Actually, you are familiar with the names of My friends. Their names are all recorded in the Bible, and they are members of Heaven’s great Cloud of Witnesses. They have expressed a deep desire to invest in you.
Decision Time
“If you are willing, I will make the arrangements. My friends will share their spiritual insights, personal secrets, and intense revelations. Please understand that sharing their information when you preach or write will not be a breach of trust. It will fulfill their hearts’ desire to bless the multitudes outside their influence.”
His offer blows me away. I know that Jesus always has my best interests at heart. So I nodded my head and agreed for His friends to visit me. He smiled with approval and said, “You will thoroughly enjoy yourself. Listen well to those I send you. Their advice is rich with wisdom.”
I replied, “I will pay close attention and use my active listening skills. I don’t want to miss one word.”
Jesus again beamed His radiant smile, saying, “I will leave now and share the good news with My friends.”
Good Byes are Bittersweet
I quickly interjected with a tear in my eye, “Before you go… I want you to know… that my heart aches for You when we are apart.”
Jesus smiled as tears of joy filled His sparkling eyes. “I long to be with you, too. Your smile lights up My day. I treasure you, My love. It will not be long before we are together forever. Until then, we have much to do for Father. Have a blessed day. I love you.” As Jesus left my office, His rose-of-Sharon fragrance filled the room as a goodbye kiss from my Bridegroom King.
Your Encounter with Jesus
As you fervently pursue God wholeheartedly, you will have the opportunity to fulfill your deepest longing and one day meet Jesus face to face. Encountering Him is a life-changing experience of love that will leave you thirsting for more.
Revelation 1:13-16 (WEB), “Among the lampstands was one like a Son of Man, clothed with a robe reaching down to His feet and a golden sash around His chest. His head and hair were white as white wool, like snow, with eyes like a flame of fire. His feet were like burnished brass as if it had been refined in a furnace, and His voice was like the voice of many waters. He had seven stars in His right hand. Out of His mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining at its brightest.”
