Unveiling Celestial Horses

Supernatural events are constantly happening but usually don’t occur as we imagine. Take, for instance, the Holy Spirit-empowered trips to heaven that we all dream of. We can’t even begin to picture what they are like until we experience them ourselves.

Well, guess what? The Spirit caught me up to heaven like the Apostle Paul. So, it’s no longer my fantasy but a reality like the loving arms of a parent cradling me, carrying me safely home during my trips. When I arrive, Jesus or an Angel welcomes me with a beaming smile and whisks me off on a tour.

They showed me so much—from the glistening gold city of New Jerusalem to Heaven’s extensive Library, the Courts of Heaven where true justice reigns, and even Jesus’s private garden. And that’s not all―I’ve also visited the magnificent Throne room and the countless stables containing the most exquisite white horses you can imagine. Yes, you read that right―there are horses in heaven!

Heavenly Visit

On another occasion, as I visited King Jesus’ throne room, I noticed white horses standing calmly. I couldn’t help but ask Jesus, “Why are the horses in Your throne room?” To my surprise, Jesus replied, “Because My return is drawing near, preparations are being made. The Father hasn’t told Me the time is now, but it’s very near.”

This answer reminded me of the second coming of Jesus described in Revelation 19:11-14. It’s a breathtaking scene with white horses and an army of heaven following Jesus. “I saw heaven opened and a white horse standing there, and the one sitting on the horse was named Faithful and True—the one who justly punishes and makes war. His eyes were like flames, and on His head were many crowns. A name was written on his forehead; only He knew its meaning. He was clothed with garments dipped in blood, and his title was “The Word of God.” The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.”

It’s incredible to know that there are horses in heaven and that we will one day witness the glory of the return of King Jesus.

Celestial Horse in the Making

As soon as I think of horses, my heart fills with joy. Something extraordinary about these majestic creatures always leaves me in awe. I’ve been passionate about riding horses all my life. But I can no longer ride them. However, the memory of my last horseback ride is still vivid in my mind. I rode a beautiful stallion from a local Pismo Beach, California, stable.

When I reached the rental checkout, the clerk asked if I was an experienced rider. Without giving it a second thought, I said yes. But the clerk’s next made me wonder why she asked me that in the first place. She told me that the horse I was about to ride had a few behavioral issues, and he required an experienced rider. She went on to describe his problems one by one.

The horse had a habit of biting his riders, rolling in the creek and knocking them off his back, and resisting the rider’s lead. His behavior did not intimidate me. I felt a connection with him. I somehow knew he was fighting for his dignity and respected that. He was feisty and spirited and had my heart at first glance. He was my kind of horse.

As we rode away from the stable, I kept a tight rein on him, preventing him from turning his head to bite me. I also kept him going in the direction I wanted. When we crossed the creek, he tried to lay down and knock me off his back, but I held my ground. He snorted at my unwavering resistance, but I won that battle, too.

As I reached the pristine beach, the breathtaking beauty of the white sand and the dazzling turquoise ocean struck me. To my amazement, we discovered a secluded area where we could enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings without any disturbance. I could feel the intense desire in the heart of the horse to run freely, an experience that it had never had before.

Divine Gift

As I reflected on the divine providence that brought us together for this moment, I gradually loosened my grip on the reins and gently stroked his neck, whispering, “You are marvelous. Father God created you to run. Let’s have some fun.” Then, with a little kick in his side, he began galloping, eventually running full out in the ocean’s surf. As he ran, His mane and my hair were flying in the wind. His heart and mine felt satisfaction running free.

At that moment, I felt the extraordinary presence of Jesus surround me. Then He whispered, “Just as you released your grip on the horse’s reins, blowing the hinges off his limited life experience, so will I do with you. Just release your grip; do not hold back. I will enable you to go beyond earthly limits.” In the wonder of that moment, I had the courage to reply, “I’m all in!” I let go and felt my soul soaring. It was a landmark moment, and I knew I would never forget it as one of my favorites.

So, whenever a challenge or a difficult decision confronts me, I recall that moment on the beach. I remember the feeling of freedom and complete trust, and my heart fully knows that I can entrust the reins of my life into my loving Master’s hands.

I knew a man in Christ, (whether he was in the body, I cannot tell, or out of the body, I cannot tell; God knows.) who was taken up into the third heaven.― 2 Corinthians 12:2
